Some people have complained about the lack of detail in my posts. Here is a very detailed one.
10:00 Wake up. Shower. Eat Breakfast (cereal bar, yogurt, apple, class of water, vitamin), putz around (reading the newspaper, some of my history book)
11:30 Leave to go to the classics department at 65 Oakfield Avenue. Get to university and find hundreds of 17 year olds swarming around. For a while i think that they are freshers and have to stifle the desire to yell "WORST CLASS EVER!" and "TOUCH THE FIRE" until i realize that it is "Open Day" where prospies can come and look at the university. I am mistaken for one of them and given information by someone in a traffic vest that says "student guide." I try not to speak with an american accent.
12:00 Get to Classics Department, realize the office hours are from 9-12 and then 2-5
12:15 Go to Hunterian Art Gallery. See some paintings by the glasgow boys and whistler.
1:45 Get a chocolate bar. I am slowly tasting every single one of them that we don't have in the US. except for the ones that look foul.
2:00 go back to classics department. Lovely secretary tells me to come back at 3:30 to meet with the head of the department.
2:05 Go to Charles R. Mackintosh house, which is really just a recreation of the original. Am not too awed by it - it is not in my taste, but i see how it was revolutionary and beautiful.
3:00 buy some postcards and write them. So some of you will get redundant information.
3:20 have nothing to do. sit around and wait for 3:30
3:30 meet with department head. apparently i can take whatever honours classes i want - as i have done the equivalent in the US. discover that i've already read some of the stuff that is being taught in every offered class.
3:45 leave.
3:50 go to supermarket determined to find peanut butter. find peanut butter. buy peanut butter and nutella for sandwiches
4:20 arrive back at room. eat cheese sandwich. think about going running. post on blog instead and upload pictures from camera.
4:45 am still writing blog.

You know, I love listening to women talk about what they ate.
