An Ode to New York

Oh New York, where else would you witness these things?

A women feeding squirrels in Washington Square Park, calling them "my little animals" and discussing how she spends $ 100 a month to feed them acorns, except in the fall, when she goes to central park to collect them and bring them down, because the squirrels don't get them in WSP.

Policemen swabbing the outside of your bag to determine if you have explosive residue before you get on the subway. Whether or not I think this is a violation of my privacy is not something I can discuss in a public forum.

A kid reading the book that your friend's brother wrote in independent reading. (I guess that could happen anywhere.)
